In 2008 Andy and Kim Baligian were living in Ireland and connected with Serve the City Dublin. They returned to Dublin with a team of volunteers from Detroit in 2011 and 2013 for their big summer serve week. In 2020 they began the process of starting Serve the City Detroit because they loved Detroit and the vision of everybody serving.
